I Believe Card

Dr. Upperman utilized the "I Believe" card to introduce and demonstrate what Baxter Seminary stood for, a Christian Based education that taught young men and women how to live, work, play, and the needed skills and knowledge to immediately start to work or continue on to higher education.

He would give it out when introducing himself or when someone asked if he had a card.  He gave it to families, visitors, and to future friends and benefactors of the seminary.  It in a few but concise words told the reader all about Baxter Seminary goals and actual achievements of the school.

I BELIEVE
The dedication of the soul to the highest Ideals of Christian ethics and firm belief in God;
The attainment of high scholastic achievements through study and thought;
The enriching of the mind and the storing away of useful knowledge;
The development of a strong body, abounding health and vitality;
An understanding of how to work and play happily with one another;
A thorough training in at least one or two occupations;
These should be the goal of every young man and woman.
To such a well rounded program for life is Baxter Seminary ever committed.
