A delicious lunch was enjoyed, catered by The Wagon Wheel Restaurant in Baxter. Frank Medley, principal of
Upperman High School, attended the meeting and was available for a tour of the building after lunch. The meeting adjourned
at 2:00 p.m. Door prizes were in abundance.
The culmination of the celebration was attending the Baxter Seminary Alumni Banquet, which is held each year the first Saturday
night in May at Tennessee Tech University. After a delicious meal, each member was introduced by Mable Joyce Austin Moore,
class member.
A check for $100 was presented to Medley by the class of ’45 to purchase paperback books for the library. Also, a
presentation was made by Ralph Fike of 33 books titled "A Light on the Cumberland Plateau," the story of Baxter Seminary, for
